Dubai’s beachside dining hot-spot returns! The immensely popular Beach Canteen returns to
Jumeirah Beach (behind Sunset Mall) for a new edition. The venue has been a highlight event of
Dubai Food Festival ever since its inaugural appearance in 2014, and for 2020, the food festival will be a gastronomic destination of the world!

Dubai Food Festival is organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). It is part of a larger strategy to develop a year-round program of citywide festivals that contributes to the growth of tourism and retail sectors in Dubai. Brag has stepped in as a partner for a pillar event of the city-wide festival. With 17days of food offerings, live entertainment, and engaging kids’ activities, Beach Canteen is one of the most anticipated events of 2020!

This year, beach Canteen will feature a total of 11 zones, each providing a different experience.

ZONES

Swyp Main Stage

The main stage of the Beach Canteen will bring the event to life through live music, DJs, dance
shows, competitions and movie nights. Bring your family and friends for free entertainment while you
dig your toes into the sand!

Oasis Food Plaza

The Food Plaza will host a great variety of vendors and cuisines. With a mix of Dubai-based & inter-emirate concepts, as well as a curated offering of established or franchise brands, the array of options will wow visitors and keep them coming back for more.

Kitchen Collab

Located in the Food Plaza, the Kitchen Collab is a cooking demo, workshop and competition kitchen space that will have a unique, fun and interactive program highlighting chefs, restaurants and Beach

Canteen vendors.

GAC Street Food Yard
Immediately to the right of Beach Canteen’s main entrance, the Street Food Yard features new
concepts and past seasons favorites from Dubai and the inter-Emirates. There will also be some
highly unique kiosk designs featured in this space. The central access to the rest of the site makes this location a foodie favorite.

Deblock Gaming Park

One of the new additions to Beach Canteen will highlight fun and innovative gaming opportunities, the Gaming Park will be a key feature offering Gen-Z and the wider audience a space to play their favorite arcade & e-games by the beach.

Beach Grill

Another new addition to the Beach Canteen food offering, The Beach Grill will have a dedicated zone which will allow for vendors whose food offering is served best off the grill! A beach-side favorite, the smell of smoked and grilled meats is sure to awaken visitors’ taste-buds.

Lacnor Garden

One of the highlights from 2019, the garden returns bigger and better. A beautiful garden oasis by the beach, The Garden will feature both pre-packed food for some beach-side shopping, as well as exquisite smaller curated food concepts such as coffees and desserts. There will also be a community stage within The Garden showcasing community talents like singers, buskers, and poetry readings.

Lacnor Kids Play Zone

The Kids Play Zone will feature paid and unpaid kids’ activities so that parents can enjoy daytime
tunes whilst the kids amuse themselves in a fun and safe environment. Kids can bounce off of
Inflatables or ride electronic swans to their hearts’ content!

Deblock Action Hub

The Action Hub will be a space offering exciting and action-packed activities. Guests can burn off their calories and then come back for more food!

Deblock Big Game Alley

A new addition to the Beach Canteen offering, the Big Game Alley is a space suitable for all ages
providing tons of beach-side fun. From friends to families, the big game alley will feature an array of games and carnival-stylee elements that everyone can enjoy.

The Promenade

The Beach Canteen Promenade acts as a proper boardwalk pop up. Guests can stroll through the event and experience stimuli from every direction. From pop-ups to activations to food carts, guests can nibble on the go!
