We miss you…
We want to give you an update on the ongoings of ARTE, since you may have seen that other events are happening again in Dubai. We are receiving so many kind messages from you asking for information when ARTE will start up again. We understand that you want to go back to work again and be surrounded with colleagues and friends.
Even though we have all our permits in place, the activity is STILL restricted, and therefore our permits are not valid. We have spoken to the DTCM / DED and it is confirmed that market exhibitions are on the list of restricted activities, and that any event attracting a gathering is not permitted yet. We don’t want to risk being fined as the organiser, or putting our vendors or customers at risk of being fined as a participant in a ‘gathering’. I choose to be responsible and to not put you or us in an unwanted situation. I want you to ‘Stay Safe’ and so I will not seek a loophole to run ARTE.
Please be aware of yesterday’s post in the newspaper.
I look forward to opening up the ARTE markets as soon as it is permitted since I am keen for you to get back to business and for the ARTE family to re-unite. I am sure you have all been working on your new creations, and it is hard that you have to wait a little longer for ARTE, the makers’ market to feature in the new state of normal.
It is such a crazy time, and it still is… be careful! Remember that wherever you are to keep distance, to wash hands, and to to stay home if you sensate the slightest niggle of a cold or cough, etc. Be clever, be wise.
Let’s hope we can invite you for a September start.
