ARTE Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to ARTE, The Makers’ Market (the “Site”). By accessing or using our Site, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Eligibility
- Age Requirement: By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
- Vendor Requirements: ARTE markets are open exclusively to UAE residents who design and produce their own handmade products in the UAE. Vendors must control the entire production process, and products must be handmade in the UAE.
3. User Accounts and Vendor Accountability
- Account Registration: To use certain Site features, such as making a booking, you must register for an account. By registering, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Vendors must personally create or produce the products or services they sell.
- Products must be handmade in the UAE.
- Acceptance of the eligibility to participate is at the sole discretion of Miriam Founder of ARTE, The Makers’ Market.
- Consent and Accountability: By registering, you confirm that the products you offer at ARTE are handmade by you in the UAE. This requirement must be maintained throughout your tenure with ARTE. Failing to comply may result in account suspension or termination, and accountability for any misrepresentation.
4. Bookings and Market Participation
- Booking Services: Vendors can make bookings via the Site, subject to availability and confirmation by ARTE. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any booking at our discretion.
- Market Locations and Timings:
- ARTE markets are held at Mercato Shopping Mall in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, and Times Square Center along Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
- Vendors are required to complete their setup by 9:45 AM. Late arrivals or early departures are not permitted, and failure to meet these requirements may result in forfeiture of the booking without a refund.
5. Payments
- Payment Options: Payment for your booking must be made in advance and we offer secure payment options via Stripe and bank transfer.
- Stripe Payments: Processed per Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You authorize us to charge your credit/debit card for the total booking amount.
- Bank Transfers: Instructions will be provided upon booking, and payment must be completed for booking confirmation. Vendors are responsible for any associated transfer fees.
6. Cancellations, Refunds, and Market Fee Policies
- Cancellation Penalties:

2 weeks notice – 100% refund.
1 week notice – 50% refund.
less than one week notice – 0% refund. The refund is not done in cash, and only in moving the payment to another date that is within 3 months of the cancelled event date. - Payment for your table space is not conditional on sales at the market event.
- Please note that we do not issue refunds on the event of vendor dissatisfaction with their experience at the market, as all vendors are provided with a designated space and the opportunity to showcase their products at a place that is directed and approved by the management of the location.
- Cancellation Policy 2025
- Market Fee Payment: Market fees are non-refundable in cash and can only be rescheduled within 6 months of the original date. If unused within this period, they will be forfeited.
- Refund Format: Refunds, if applicable, will be issued as credits for future events, subject to processing fees as outlined in the cancellation policy.
- Admin/New Vendor Fees: A one-time joining fee is required for all new vendors. This fee is also due again if a vendor returns after more than a year’s absence.
7. Market Policies
- Product Compliance: Imported handmade or non-handmade items are prohibited. In cases of dispute, ARTE reserves the right to ask vendors to demonstrate their skills or remove suspicious items. Offending vendors may be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
- Food Vendors: Licensed food vendors must present a FoodWatch permit and follow all Government Food & Hygiene regulations.
- Booking Finalization: Unpaid reservations will cancel automatically 7 days before the event without follow-up. Bookings are closed once the market reaches full capacity.
- Table Placements: Assigned by ARTE management and cannot be adjusted by vendors on market day.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content on the Site, including text, graphics, and software, is the intellectual property of ARTE or its licensors. Users are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use the content without written permission.
9. Promotion and Vendor Responsibility
- Promotion Requirement: Vendors are expected to actively promote ARTE events via personal networks and social media. ARTE will provide marketing materials, tags, and updates via WhatsApp groups.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Site Usage: ARTE is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the Site or booking services, including issues with payment processing or availability.
- Site Availability: While we strive for constant availability, we do not guarantee the Site will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
11. Privacy Policy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, explaining how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Dubai, UAE. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
14. Photography and Media Consent
- Photography at Events: By participating in ARTE The Makers’ Market events at Mercato Shopping Mall or Times Square Center, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded by ARTE representatives.
- Use of Images: Images and recordings taken at these events may be used by ARTE for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media posts, website content, and other marketing materials.
- Vendor Consent: By joining ARTE events, vendors grant ARTE the irrevocable right to use, publish, and distribute these images without any compensation or further approval, as part of ARTE’s promotional efforts.
